My current research focuses on the analysis of watershed institutions, in the context of Brazil’s National Water Policy. It includes describing and analysing the institutional arrangements (i.e., institutions, such as watershed committees) that have been designed, as part of such policy, to manage water resources in the country. My past research involved the institutional analysis of catchment management in the State of New South Wales, Australia, projects on mangroves assessment and management, and primary production of saltmarshes in Brazil.
