I have an interdisciplinary background and my research interests, in a broad sense, include institutional analysis, environmental management and policy, collaborative approaches to governance, catchment and coastal management, and climate change. I am currently investigating water management and policy, focusing on watershed institutions (i.e., river basin committees) in Brazil. I hold a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from the University of Wollongong, Australia. I also hold a M.Sc. in Physical Geography from the University of São Paulo, Brazil; and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Oceanography from the University of Rio Grande (FURG), Brazil.
Other interests include photography and travelling.
